Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Sr Software Engineer to advance the software powering clinical care delivery at Oak Street Health. You will own end-to-end domain work, design robust AI-driven prompts, and mentor engineers while ensuring reliability and quality in a healthcare setting.

You will collaborate with product and business teams to automate workflows, build scalable data pipelines (Databricks), and shape data models and contracts across services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
• Proficiency building system prompts and utilizing AI frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or comparable document stores.
• Track record of leading technical work across a team - not just executing it.
• Experience with cloud-native deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design robust system prompts using LLM frameworks.
• Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to understand and automate workflows.
• Design and implement robust file-ingestion pipelines using Databricks.
• Own a domain or service area end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts.
• Lead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Hold the team accountable for test coverage, observability, and the production health of the services you own.
