Job summary

CVS Health’s Oak Street Health division is hiring a Sr Software Engineer to own cross-cutting backend workstreams in a health-critical environment. You will design scalable data pipelines, mentor engineers, and drive system integrity from ingestion to deployment.

You’ll collaborate with product and business teams to automate workflows, implement Databricks pipelines, and ensure robust test coverage and observability in production systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
• Proficiency building system prompts and utilizing AI frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or comparable document stores.

Responsibilities

• Design robust system prompts using LLM frameworks.
• Partner with product teams to understand and automate workflows.
• Design and implement robust file-ingestion pipelines using Databricks.
• Own a domain or service end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts.
• Lead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Hold the team accountable for test coverage, observability, and production health of the services you own.
