Job summary

Platinum Technologies, a Northern Virginia-based firm, seeks a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to design, implement, and sustain secure Microsoft Azure cloud solutions for DoD mission needs from Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. A TS/SCI clearance and DoD RMF compliance are required.

The role combines hands-on engineering with architecture leadership, focusing on hybrid environments, identity governance, and zero-trust security across enterprise workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12–15 years of relevant experience, or a master's with 10–13 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Minimum of five years designing and implementing Microsoft Azure enterprise cloud solutions.
• Experience architecting hybrid Azure environments integrating on‑premises infrastructure with Azure.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure Microsoft Azure cloud solutions supporting DoD mission requirements.
• Design and deploy green-field Azure environments and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise hybrid identity solutions utilizing Entra ID, Entra Connect, AD, and related identity technologies.
• Engineer secure authentication, authorization, identity governance, and PAM solutions supporting Zero Trust principals.
• Design Azure Landing Zones, governance frameworks, and subscription architectures per CAF and Well-Architected Framework guidance.
• Engineer Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Bicep, ARM Templates, Terraform, or equivalents.
• Design secure Azure networking solutions using VNet, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, and Private connectivity.
• Implement Azure-native monitoring, backup, DR, governance, and security capabilities.
• Configure Entra ID Governance capabilities including Access Reviews, Entitlement Management, Lifecycle Workflows, Conditional Access, and PIM.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, networking, and development teams to deliver integrated cloud solutions.
• Support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities and RMF/STIG compliance.
• Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, implementation guides, and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Evaluate new Microsoft cloud technologies and recommend solutions that align with mission objectives.
