Job summary

SarelaTech is seeking a highly qualified Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to support DoD programs at Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. The role centers on architecting, engineering, and sustaining secure hybrid cloud solutions across Azure and AWS for mission-critical environments.

The candidate will lead greenfield cloud deployments, implement Zero Trust and RMF-aligned architectures, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cybersecurity and systems teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Eng or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute the degree.
• Active DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II cert (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience architecting and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience designing and deploying Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Experience architecting hybrid cloud environments integrating on-prem with Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure hybrid cloud solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Design and deploy greenfield cloud environments for DoD mission requirements.
• Develop secure, scalable cloud architectures aligned with DoD guidance and Zero Trust.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation.
• Administer Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Server, Defender for Cloud, Purview, and AVD.
• Engineer secure networking integrating on-prem with cloud environments.
• Implement cloud monitoring, logging, backup, DR, and security services.
• Automate deployments with PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, AWS CLI.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, networking, and app teams.
• Support RMF compliance and system accreditation activities.
• Evaluate new cloud tech and mentor junior engineers.
