Job summary

Platinum Technologies seeks a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to support DoD cloud modernization initiatives in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on designing, engineering, and sustaining secure Microsoft Azure cloud solutions within classified environments.

The candidate will translate complex mission requirements into scalable cloud solutions, maintain hands-on engineering throughout the lifecycle, and ensure alignment with Zero Trust and DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 12–15 years of relevant experience, or a master's with 10–13 years; doctorate may be considered.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Minimum of five years designing and implementing Microsoft Azure enterprise cloud solutions.
• Experience architecting hybrid Azure environments.
• Hybrid identity management experience with Entra ID/Entra Connect/AD.
• Experience with Entra ID Governance and PAM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure Microsoft Azure cloud solutions for DoD missions.
• Design and deploy green-field Azure environments and hybrid architectures.
• Implement and maintain enterprise hybrid identity solutions (Entra ID, Entra Connect, AD).
• Engineer PAM, ABAC/RBAC, and zero trust security models.
• Design Azure Landing Zones, governance models, and CAF-aligned architectures.
• Develop IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Configure Azure networking, ExpressRoute, Firewalls, and private connectivity.
• Enable DoD RMF/ STIG compliance and ATO support.
• Produce architecture docs, diagrams, and implementation guides.
