Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to design, deploy, and secure Microsoft Azure and Azure Government architectures in support of Navy C4I. The role focuses on hybrid cloud integration, advanced networking, and robust security controls across lab, test, and production environments.

You will implement infrastructure as code with Terraform and scripting, coordinate with enterprise identity teams, and contribute to RMF/ATO compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Azure systems engineering including architecture design, deployment, configuration, administration, and sustainment.
• Experience with Azure Government or DoD owned cloud environments.
• Hybrid cloud architectures with on-premises infrastructure and Azure services.
• Azure networking including virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, routing, VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
• Operating systems management for Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
• Cloud security implementation with Defender, Azure Firewall, baselines, least privilege, RBAC, and Zero Trust.
• Identity and access management including privileged access and service identities.
• Infrastructure automation using Terraform, Azure Automation, PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible.
• RMF/ATO compliance evidence and DoD IL environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing and deploying Azure cloud architectures for Navy C4I support.
• Supporting hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-premises with Azure services.
• Engineering Azure connectivity including ExpressRoute and VPN Gateway.
• Managing Azure networking and security configurations and segmentation.
• Implementing cloud security using Defender, Azure Firewall, and Zero Trust.
