Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn, Alabama, seeks a seasoned engineering leader to mentor a team of engineers in axles, gears, and driveline systems. You will guide design, development, and implementation of vehicle programs while upholding quality, safety, and performance standards.

You will collaborate across functions, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely delivery through strategic planning, root-cause analysis, and supplier engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in automotive driveline/axle/gear reducer.
• Strong knowledge of gear reducers, power transfer units, rear drive modules.
• Understanding of root cause analysis tools (e.g., fishbone, Is-Is Not, 3L5Y, Red X).
• Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R.
• GD&T proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional collaboration to define project requirements and timelines.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting to the engineering team.
• Communicate strategic direction and department mission to reports.
• Assist in strategic planning, resource planning, and roadmaps.
• Help engineers generate detailed system and sub-system specifications.
• Assist in root-cause identification and collaborative problem-solving with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities to reduce total warranty costs and implement solutions.
• Lead DFSS initiatives and track progress of candidates.
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends.
