Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn, AL seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to own the driveshaft/halfshaft design and testing, delivering components to meet all technical requirements. You will lead supplier engineering activities, coach junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time program milestones.

The role requires a solid background in automotive driveline systems, DFMEA/DVP&R, GD&T, and CAD tools (NX/CATIA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of automotive engineering experience.
• Driveshaft/halfshaft/propshaft engineering experience.
• Experience with transmission, driveline and axles is preferred.
• Know-how of DFMEA, DVP&R and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of driveshaft and/or halfshaft components per requirements.
• Develop SME status for assigned components and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead supplier engineering activities and maintain test plans and reports.
• Prepare engineering work plans aligned with program milestones.
• Document DFMEAs, DVP&Rs and analysis results; support change management.
