Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to build, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. The role is remote but requires residency in eligible US states, including UT.

You will be the Linux SME, manage on-prem Nutanix, containers (Rancher/ECS Anywhere), SMTP relay, and SSL/TLS certs, while supporting HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on AWS experience with security, networking, and best practices.
• Expert-level Linux administration and strong Windows Server skills.
• Hands-on experience with Rancher native Cattle clusters and Amazon ECS/ECS Anywhere.
• Proficiency with CloudFormation, and PowerShell/Bash scripting; Python skills are a major plus.
• Working knowledge of SMTP relay configuration and end-to-end SSL/TLS certificate management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure with a focus on security, cost, and disaster recovery.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines for container builds and deployments.
• Run containerized workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher clusters.
• Serve as Linux subject matter expert: provisioning, hardening, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer Windows Server environment, including AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, and IIS (on-prem and EC2).
• Administer Nutanix Prism Element and Prism Central, AHV VM management, capacity planning, upgrades, and data protection.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure (Postfix/SES) and SSL/TLS certificate renewals across IIS and Linux.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting; participate in on-call; support HITRUST and SOC 2.
