Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and secure the infrastructure behind its healthcare credentialing platform. You will be a SME for Linux, on-prem Nutanix, container platforms (Rancher and ECS Anywhere), SMTP relay, and SSL/TLS certificates.

This is a remote role requiring residency in specific US states; you will move between cloud, systems administration, and DevOps as priorities shift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems admin.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Run container workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher clusters.
• Provision and harden Linux, Windows Server, and Nutanix environments.
• Automate configuration with Python, PowerShell, Bash; use AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay and SSL/TLS certificate management; monitor and support compliance.
