Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. The role spans cloud engineering, systems administration, and on-prem Nutanix, with strong emphasis on automation and ownership in a remote setting.

You'll influence infrastructure across Windows and Linux, manage ECS Anywhere, Rancher, and CI/CD pipelines, and own SSL/TLS certificates, SMTP relays, and security practices to meet HITRUST

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration with 3+ years on AWS.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong automation and scripting skills; healthcare or regulated environments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure following best practices.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD for containers.
• Run container workloads on ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Provision Linux, harden platforms, patching, and diagnose across on-premises and cloud.
• Administer Windows Server (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-premises and in EC2.
• Manage Nutanix Prism Element/Central; capacity planning and upgrades.
• Automate configuration with Python/PowerShell/Bash and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay (Postfix/SES) and SSL/TLS cert renewals; monitor and respond to security alerts.
