Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to build, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. The role spans Linux, Windows, on-prem Nutanix, Rancher, ECS Anywhere, and SSL/TLS cert administration in a remote, high-ownership setting.

You will move between cloud engineering, systems administration, and operational tasks as priorities shift, requiring strong ownership and adaptability within a small team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS
• Bachelor's or equivalent experience in a related field

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch)
• Manage infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
• Run container workloads on ECS and ECS Anywhere; administer Rancher Cattle clusters
• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments; on-prem Nutanix
• Automate config and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure and TLS certificate management
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting; support HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance
