Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. You’ll own AWS, Linux, Windows Server, on-prem Nutanix, container platforms, and certificate management in a remote role with state restrictions.

The role blends cloud engineering, systems administration, and agile response to business needs. You’ll work across cloud, on-prem, and HITRUST/SOC 2 controls, with high ownership and the freedom to drive improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong automation experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with healthcare/regulatory environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Run container workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher clusters.
• Serve as Linux SME and manage Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, and IIS.
• Administer Nutanix AHV, Prism Element/Central, and perform capacity planning.
• Automate configuration and patching across systems using scripting and SSM.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure and SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and support HITRUST/SOC 2 compliance.
