Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, secure, and scale our cloud and on-prem infrastructure for a healthcare credentialing platform.

This remote role focuses on DevOps, cloud engineering, and systems administration across Linux, Windows Server, Nutanix, and container platforms. You will own SSL/TLS management, automation, and security practices while partnering with a small, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and/or systems administration.
• 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Strong Python development skills for automation and AWS integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure following the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Serve as the Linux SME: provisioning, hardening, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer Windows Server environment (Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-prem and on EC2.
• Administer Nutanix on-premises environment (Prism Element/Central) including health, AHV VM management, capacity planning, upgrades.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Systems Manager.
• Own SSL/TLS certificate renewals and installation across IIS, Linux, Postfix, and AWS.
• Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting; participate in on-call; support HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance.
