Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and secure the AWS-based infrastructure behind our healthcare credentialing platform. The role requires deep AWS, Linux, Windows Server, and Nutanix expertise, with a strong emphasis on automation and DevOps practices.

This is a remote position within the United States. You will move between cloud engineering, systems administration, and evolving business needs, ensuring secure, available, and cost-effective

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
• Strong Python for automation and AWS integrations.
• Expert-level Linux administration; solid Windows Server administration.
• Deep AWS expertise: EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure per AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and support CI/CD for container builds and deployments.
• Serve as Linux SME: provisioning, hardening, patching, and tuning across physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
• Administer Windows Server environment (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-prem and on EC2.
• Oversee on-prem Nutanix (Prism Element/Central), health, capacity planning, upgrades, and data protection.
