Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role requires a Secret clearance and involves software/systems engineering across defense programs.

Responsibilities include requirements development, vendor coordination, system integration, defect analysis, cybersecurity liaison, and participation in SE technical reviews and Agile/SAFe processes.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• Active Secret clearance; eligibility for Top Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship required to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
