Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role requires working at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and an active clearance now or after start.

The position supports Agile/SAFe processes and requires collaboration with cybersecurity experts, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust systems engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the ECP process and prepare SOWs and CDRLs.
• Develop IGCEs and support evaluations of contractor proposals.
