Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks an enterprising mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This on-site role requires full-time presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.

The position requires an active Secret Clearance with potential for Top Secret clearance after starting. US citizenship is required for eligibility, and familiarity with MIL-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207,

Qualifications

At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Active Secret clearance required (Top Secret possible).
U.S. citizenship required to obtain a clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
Support the ECP process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
Develop IGCEs.
Support evaluations of contractor proposals.
