Job summary

SimVentions, a 100% employee-owned company, seeks a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to support software systems engineering for aviation programs. Role is full-time on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with an active Secret clearance required and potential for Top Secret later.

The position is future funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026. Responsibilities include requirements development, vendor coordination, system integration, and participation

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
• Conduct analysis of software defects
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
• Support ECP process
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
