Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. This role supports acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. An active Secret clearance is required, with potential Top Secret clearance in the future.

Qualifications

• Ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• ABET-accredited or equivalent BS in a technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support ECP process and SAFe/agile team processes.
• Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs; develop IGCEs.
