Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs.
The position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with an active Secret clearance (Top Secret possible later). The role involves developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, supporting ECPs, and contributing to Agile/SAFe processes.
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- Active Secret clearance is required; Top Secret may be required after start.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
- Support the ECP process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs
- Develop IGCEs
- Support vendor proposal evaluations
