Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. On-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with active security clearances and future funding.

The role requires strong defense-domain expertise, MBSE proficiency, and collaboration with vendors and cybersecurity SMEs to support reviews and ECPs.

Qualifications

• Ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• Active Secret clearance (Top Secret possible).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs, develop IGCEs, and support contractor proposal evaluations.
