Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.
This full-time role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with an active Secret clearance and US citizenship. The position involves coordinating with vendors, conducting software analysis, and participating in Agile/SAFe processes, with potential future Top Secret clearance after
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
