Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Seattle, is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Avionics Packaging group within the Core Avionics team. You will direct mechanical engineers and specialists in the design, analysis, testing, and review of avionics enclosures for PCB assemblies and high-performance hardware.

You will oversee standards, processes, tooling, and cost/mass/delivery schedules while fostering employee growth and coordinating with program leads to meet project commitments.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years managing technical teams with responsibility for technical quality and career development.
• 4+ years experience with static structural, modal, random vibration, and thermal analysis.
• Experience designing ruggedized electronics enclosures or similar high-performance hardware.

Responsibilities

• Staff, train, and develop the mechanical team; manage performance reviews and budgets.
• Negotiate Statements of Work with product managers and supply staffing to projects.
• Ensure staff are trained in Blue Origin safety culture and applicable standards.
