Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking an Avionics Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer III to own ruggedized enclosures and mechanical systems for spacecraft avionics from concept through flight release.

You will lead thermal, structural, vibration, and fatigue analyses, deliver high-quality models and drawings, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with electrical, thermal, structures, and manufacturing teams to ensure reliability and mission success.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience owning mechanical designs across full lifecycle.
• Strong 3D CAD skills and GD&T/ASME Y14.5 knowledge.
• Experience integrating PCBAs, connectors, and harness interfaces.
• Experience running thermal and structural analyses for electronic packaging.

Responsibilities

• Own complex avionics packaging assemblies through full lifecycle.
• Partner with electrical, systems, thermal, structures, manufacturing, quality, and test engineers.
• Drive thermal, structural, vibration, fatigue analyses and trade studies.
• Deliver models, drawings, specs, ICDs, and release packages with GD&T.
• Shape environmental test campaigns end-to-end and verify results.
