Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Manager in the Lunar Permanence unit to lead a mechanical engineering team. You will oversee design, analysis, testing, and review of avionics enclosures housing PCBs and electronics, ensuring technical quality and cost control.

The role blends leadership with hands-on technical input, guiding staff development and roadmap planning within the Core Avionics group and Lunar Permanence program. A US citizenship or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years leading technical teams with responsibility for quality and career management.
• 4+ years with static structural, modal, random vibration, and thermal analyses.
• Experience designing ruggedized electronics enclosures or high‑performance hardware.
• Strong ability to manage schedules, budgets and headcount.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for avionics enclosure design and analysis.
• Coordinate staffing, budgets, and project schedules with leadership.
• Ensure staff training and adherence to safety culture and standards.
• Develop plans for software, models, and analysis tools used by the team.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders for benchmarking and recruitment.
