Job summary

Blue Origin in Los Angeles is seeking an Engineering Operations lead on the Core Avionics Team to advance electronics design and manufacturing in support of space-rated avionics. You will drive cadence, manage budgets, schedules, and risk across the IPT and ensure hardware readiness for flight.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with Lunar Transportation, and push for safe, reliable hardware. The role blends technical depth with program management, and requires strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in electronics design and manufacturing operations on technical projects.
• Experience from concept through production of electronics hardware.
• Experience with SMT, through-hole, coating, and final test procedures.
• Experience with electronics design tools (Altium, Cadence) and MES.
• Strong ability to translate data into hardware requirements and tools.
• Experience with supply chain, subcontracts, and cost/schedule management.
• Familiarity with Agile and Jira in electronics development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain IPT operating cadence and report performance metrics.
• Monitor health of electronics design and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with Lunar Management Operations to sequence dependencies.
• Generate reports for weekly reviews using test results and yield data.
• Support agile planning with emphasis on design sprints and capacity planning.
• Coach teams in design-to-manufacturing handoff processes.
• Lead Tiger Teams for design challenges and manufacturing issues.
• Track electronics hardware configurations and manufacturing specs.
• Coordinate with internal and external facilities to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate design reviews, readiness assessments, and supplier qualification.
• Mentor teammates and promote leadership principles.
