Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated seeks a senior Aircraft Mechanic III - Avionics/Electrician to lead a hands-on maintenance team in Goldsboro, NC. You will supervise, perform, inspect, and guide complex avionics/electrical work to ensure mission readiness.

Ideal candidates demonstrate DoD-level experience, strong leadership, and the ability to certify work as a final inspector while coordinating tasks to meet tight schedules.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
• Experience leading and supervising maintenance crews in high-tempo aviation.
• Expertise in avionics/electrical systems and structural repair.
• Ability to act as final inspector over lower-level technicians.
• Strong ability to prioritize workloads and meet production timelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills for technical consults.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise mechanics to hit aircraft delivery schedules.
• Certifying inspector with sign-off power over maintenance staff.
• Direct troubleshooting, repair, and testing of complex avionics and wiring.
• Troubleshoot and modify aircraft structures, flight controls, and engines.
• Provide technical support to engineers and customers.
• Interpret data, blueprints, and manuals to resolve anomalies.
• Train teams on diagnostic tools and ensure proper use.
• Maintain documentation and logs.
