Job summary

ACET, Incorporated seeks an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III - Site Lead in Goldsboro, NC to direct onsite maintenance operations, inspections, and fleet schedules. You will supervise mechanics, exercise final inspection authority, and optimize workflows to meet stringent engineering standards and timelines.

The role requires comprehensive technical background across airframes and powerplants, with leadership responsibilities and certification oversight. U.S.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Lead hangar-floor operations and mechanical crews in high-stakes environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of aircraft mechanical components, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Qualified to act as definitive inspector over lower/peer mechanics (Tiers I–III).
• Forecast project needs, adapt to schedule demands, and maintain high standards under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and supervise multidisciplinary teams through complex maintenance, inspections, and modifications.
• Act as primary certifying inspector with sign-off authority over mechanics’ work.
• Diagnose and modify aircraft structures, components, and engines with high technical difficulty.
• Prioritize workflows, manage onsite assets, and meet delivery schedules.
• Serve as chief onsite liaison to engineers, military officials, and clients.
• Resolve complex mechanical and structural anomalies via blueprints and manuals.
• Operate and train crews on specialized aircraft tools and test equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and log maintenance actions.
