Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET) seeks an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III - Site Lead in Goldsboro, NC. You will direct on-site aircraft maintenance, supervise mechanics, and provide technical guidance across airframes, ensuring inspections and schedules meet rigorous standards.

The role requires DoD Secret Security Clearance eligibility, strong leadership, and expertise in airframe structures, powerplant systems, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance for access to the airfield.
• Proven experience in hangar-floor operations and leading mechanical crews in military depot or aviation settings.
• Expert knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems, sheet metal structures, and electrical systems.
• Ability to act as definitive inspector over lower- and peer-level mechanics.
• Strong forecasting and scheduling skills under delivery pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for briefs to engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and supervise teams through maintenance, inspections, and modifications.
• Act as primary certifying inspector with sign-off authority.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and modify aircraft structures, components, and engines.
• Prioritize workflows, manage assets, and meet delivery schedules.
• Serve as chief onsite liaison to engineers, officials, and clients.
• Resolve complex mechanical and structural anomalies using blueprints and manuals.
• Train crews on specialized aircraft tools and test equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain maintenance records.
