Job summary
SimVentions is seeking an enterprising mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.
An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Candidates may be required to obtain a Top Secret clearance after beginning this work.
Qualifications
- Ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
- Experience with military aircraft avionics systems and/or software.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain clearance.
- Active Secret clearance required; potential to obtain Top Secret later.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in SE technical reviews (SRRs/SSRs/PDRs/CDRs/TRRs).
- Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and deliverable lists (CDRLs).
- Develop IGCEs and assist in contractor evaluations.
