Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a seasoned AVEVA PI System administrator to own enterprise PI environments, ensuring reliable data collection from various OT sources and robust system performance. The role requires deep experience with PI components, scripting in Python/PowerShell/.NET, and collaboration with IT and operations teams.

You will lead architecture improvements, implement upgrades, and develop automation for maintenance and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Five+ years administering enterprise AVEVA PI environments including Data Archives, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API and PI Vision.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as .NET, PowerShell, and Python.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting communication issues.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for OT systems, focusing on the AVEVA PI System and data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into the AVEVA PI System from OT sources (SCADA, DCS, RTUs, PLCs).
• Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex OT systems with the AVEVA PI System.
• Administer PI components including Data Archive, Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
• Lead efforts to improve PI System architecture, data integrations, and platform reliability.
• Coordinate with IT to implement infrastructure upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
• Design scalable workarounds for system limitations and prepare modernization justifications.
• Develop automation for maintenance and custom telemetry feeds using Python, PowerShell and .NET.
