Job summary

Invenergy, a leading energy infrastructure company in the United States, seeks an experienced AVEVA PI System Administrator to manage enterprise PI environments, data archives, AF, interfaces, and integrations across OT/IT.

The role includes configuring PI data collection from OT sources (SCADA, DCS, RTUs, PLCs), maintaining PI components, and driving architecture improvements. You will automate maintenance with Python, PowerShell, and .NET, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Five or more years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments including Data Archives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API and PI Vision.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting communication issues.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as .NET, PowerShell, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for OT systems with focus on AVEVA PI System and data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into the PI System from OT platforms (SCADA, DCS, RTUs, PLCs).
• Maintain PI components and lead efforts to improve PI System architecture and reliability.
• Develop automation and telemetry feeds using Python, PowerShell, and .NET.
• Coordinate with IT for infrastructure upgrades and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
