Job summary

Waveguide LLC in McLean, VA seeks a Lead AV Technician to manage corporate AV operations onsite, supporting executive meetings and events with high‑quality audio-visual service.

You will oversee equipment testing, maintenance, and videoconference support, coordinate with teams, and deliver training and guidance to end users while maintaining room integrity and staying current with presentation technologies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years AV technology management experience.
• CTS certification by InfoComm preferred.
• Experience with AV and videoconferencing technology and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees testing, maintenance, asset management, operation, and teardown of AV and VTC equipment.
• Provides best effort assistance to fulfill audiovisual requirements.
• Provides a monthly report with room usage data and maintenance schedules.
• Maintains ticketing and asset management processes.
• Executes videoconference support including setup, training, troubleshooting, and escalation follow-up.
• Educates end users on presentation technologies.
• Troubleshoots AV and videoconferencing technology.
• Maintains conference room integrity.
• Performs preventive maintenance checks.
• Escalates non-AV issues to the appropriate department.
• Keeps current with new presentation technology.
