Job summary

Waveguide LLC seeks a Lead Technology Advocate to oversee the daily operation, coordination, execution, and support of AV systems for executive, educational, and routine meetings in a fast-paced conference center.

The role requires hands-on testing, maintenance, asset management, and end-user training, ensuring top-notch conferencing experiences and client satisfaction. CTS certification and 3–5 years of AV experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three to five years audiovisual technology management experience.
• Three to five years AV and presentation technologies experience.
• Three to five years customer service experience.
• Thorough working knowledge of the operation and troubleshooting of AV and videoconferencing related technology.
• Strong customer service and communications skills required.
• Experience working in a fast paced university/conference center environment.
• CTS certification by InfoComm.
• Industry relevant training or technical courses a plus.
• Basic familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Oversees testing, maintenance, asset management, operation, and tear down of AV and VTC equipment.
• Provides best effort assistance to fulfill audiovisual technical requirements as assigned.
• Provides a monthly report containing room usage data and maintenance schedules.
• Maintains the process to create trouble tickets and resolution logs.
• Executes all aspects of videoconference support including setup and end-user training.
• Provides consultation and education to end users on presentation technologies.
• Troubleshoots audiovisual and videoconferencing tech.
• Maintains conference room integrity.
• Performs preventive maintenance checks and addresses issues.
• Escalates issues to appropriate department.
