Job summary

Waveguide in Boston, MA seeks a Lead AV Technician to oversee audio visual needs in a corporate conference center. You will manage daily operations, supervise staff, and coordinate events, ensuring seamless presentation delivery and client satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on AV proficiency, problem-solving under pressure, and the ability to collaborate with vendors and IT. A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in AV management are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of four years' work experience in an audio visual manager or supervisor role
• Advanced knowledge of integrated AV systems including data projection, audio, video equipment
• Strong customer service and communications skills
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Visio, FrontPage, Word, Internet, Outlook)
• Hands-on management and technical skills for AV environments

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot presentation needs under high-pressure circumstances and provide immediate client solutions
• Supervise, motivate and train staff; manage conference room operations
• Coordinate with vendors and schedule equipment and staff for events
• Manage inventory, SLA compliance, and monthly/quarterly metrics
• Develop proposals for new AV equipment, services, or staffing
• Ensure ongoing maintenance and room inspections
