Job summary

Waveguide LLC is seeking a Lead Technology Expert in McLean, VA to oversee the daily operation and support of AV and VTC systems for executive and educational meetings. The role emphasizes customer service, end-user training, and proactive maintenance in a fast-paced conference center setting.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in AV technology management, strong troubleshooting skills, and MS Office proficiency; CTS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years audiovisual technology management experience.
• Experience with AV and videoconferencing systems and presentation tech.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• CTS certification by InfoComm preferred; training a plus.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversees testing, maintenance, asset management, operation, and teardown of AV and VTC equipment.
• Provides best effort assistance to fulfill audiovisual requirements.
• Generates a monthly report on room usage, open actions, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintains ticketing and issue resolution logs for assets and service.
• Performs videoconference support including setup, training, troubleshooting, and escalation follow-through.
• Educates end users on presentation technologies and configurations.
• Troubleshoots AV and videoconferencing technology and maintains room integrity.
• Performs preventive maintenance and addresses cabling and safety issues.
