Job summary

Fort in Sterling, VA seeks a Sales Engineer to partner with our Sales Teams in a pre-sale, technical role. You will provide demonstrations, design and configure AV systems to meet customer needs and support the sales cycle from concept to proposal.

Responsibilities include architecting audio/video/control solutions, researching hardware/software options, and communicating with staff and executives. CTS/CTS-D certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems.
• Knowledge of control systems programming as well as CAD Software and drawings.
• Strong communication, leadership and customer relation skills.
• Ability to read engineering schematics and communicate design intent.
• Expert knowledge of videoconferencing products and unified communications technologies.
• CTS and CTS-D certifications required; other related certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of audio, video and control solutions
• Research and analyze the capabilities of available hardware and software options
• May have direct customer interaction through the life cycle of a sale, communicating with all levels of staff and customers, ranging from project managers to corporate executives
• Design audiovisual systems of various hardware and software components that work together as one integrated system and that meet customer's specific needs
• Assists with the development of formal sales plans and proposals
