Job summary

FORTÉ, formerly AVI Systems, is seeking a Sales Engineer in Atlanta to support pre‑sales with technical demonstrations and solutions design for AV products. You will design and configure audio, video and control systems to meet customer needs and support the sales cycle from discovery to proposal.

You will analyze hardware and software options, read schematics, and communicate design intent to customers and executives.

Qualifications

Experience in service and installation of AV/presentation systems.
Knowledge of control systems programming and CAD software.
Strong communication, leadership and customer-relations skills.
Ability to read engineering schematics and convey design intent.
Expert knowledge of videoconferencing and UC technologies.
CTS/CTS-D certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to support architecture, installation and planning of AV solutions.
Research and analyze the capabilities of available hardware and software options.
May have direct customer interaction through the life cycle of a sale, communicating with all levels of staff and customers.
Design audiovisual systems that meet customer needs and work with hardware/software components.
Assist with development of formal sales plans and proposals.
