Job summary

Outsourced Scale in Greenville, SC is seeking an experienced Level 3 AV Installation Technician to lead the deployment of advanced AV systems in commercial environments. You will wire, mount, and commission professional audio, video walls, digital signage, and Teams/UC rooms with minimal supervision.

The role requires 5-8 years of hands-on AV experience, strong rigging and network testing skills, and adherence to AVIXA/NEC standards.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of verifiable experience in commercial AV installation, rack building, rough-in, and trim-out.
• Proficiency with professional power tools, structural rigging/mounting hardware, multi-meters, tone/probe kits, and network testing equipment (Fluke/OTDR).
• Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA standards, AVIXA/InfoComm guidelines, and NEC codes for low-voltage cabling.
• Must pass pre-employment background screening and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural mounting, rigging, and physical setup of projectors, screens, displays, structural Video Walls, and performance loudspeakers.
• Build, wire, and dress equipment racks; load configurations and firmware for control processors and DSPs (Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS).
• Pull, terminate, and test structural low-voltage cabling including Cat6/6A, fiber optics, shielded audio, and high-bandwidth video lines.
• Deploy and address networked AV field devices, validating physical connections, PoE power delivery, and basic IP addressing via laptop tools.
• Install and configure Microsoft Teams Rooms/UC engines and BYOD presentation switching; test touch panel controls and peripherals.
• Test in-room audio for full coverage and conduct final walk-throughs so end users can operate the system.
• Read architectural blueprints and manage on-site inventory; interface with general contractors and mentor Level 1-2 installers.
• Conduct initial signal flow testing, gain staging, and hardware verification for final programming and handover.
