Job summary

AVI‑SPL is seeking an Installation Technician 3 to perform AV installation tasks for contracted projects. You will lead and direct installation crews on large, complex projects, coordinating with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, and safety targets.

Experience in audiovisual systems and low-voltage cabling, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior technicians are essential. Travel to various job sites is required, with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks per project scope for AV systems.
• Lead installation crews on larger, complex projects with Project Manager guidance.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints for installs.
• Use hand and power tools to install, terminate, and test AV cabling.
• Test and troubleshoot point-to-point cabling and system functionality.
• Assist Engineers and Programmers with minor code changes on site.
• Manage and secure equipment and tools at the jobsite.
• Coordinate with office for returns and documentation with Project Manager.
• Communicate site status and changes to customers and stakeholders.
• Travel to multiple job sites as required; adapt to evolving priorities.
