Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician 3 to perform complex AV installation tasks on contracted projects. You will lead installation crews, coordinate with Project Managers, and ensure on-time delivery with quality and safety standards.

You will read schematics, install AV equipment, and test systems while mentoring junior technicians and liaising with customers on site. Travel to various locations is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Professional demeanor with strong client relationships.
• Advanced AV knowledge including projectors, displays, speakers and control systems.
• Experience installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling.
• Diagnose and resolve AV equipment issues and network integration.
• Lead and mentor technicians on large projects.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and insurability for company vehicles.
• CTS certification and OSHA/industry safety awareness are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks per project scope including cable pulls and terminations.
• Lead installation crews on large or complex projects and report progress to PM.
• Read and interpret schematics/blueprints and assemble equipment racks.
• Test cabling, verify system functionality, and program control systems on site.
• Coordinate with engineers, programmers, and other trades on site.
• Train junior technicians and manage site teams on schedule and safety.
• Travel to multiple job sites as required and maintain site documentation.
