Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician 3 to lead installation crews on AVI-SPL projects, performing cable pulls, terminations, rack fabrication, and wiring layout for AV systems.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires advanced knowledge of AV systems, low-voltage cabling, and test equipment, with CTS certification and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advanced understanding of audio-visual systems including projectors, screens, speakers, and control systems.
• Advanced proficiency in installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber).
• Ability to lead and mentor junior technicians on large projects and coordinate site teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks including cable pulls, terminations, and rack fabrication.
• Lead installation crews and coordinate with Project Manager on progress and direction.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Mentor Level 1 and 2 Technicians on site and verify quality of work.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
