Job summary

Solutionz, Inc. is seeking a Lead AV Technician to drive assigned projects through final completion in the Greater Charlotte Area. You will oversee testing, commissioning, punch lists, and closeout, coordinating with Field Services, Engineering, Operations, and project teams.

Regular travel to customer sites is required to support projects throughout the Southeast. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AV installation and commissioning, leads installation teams, interprets drawings, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years installing, integrating, commissioning, and troubleshooting AV systems.
• Proven ability to lead installation teams and coordinate completion activities.
• Strong knowledge of AV signal flow, DSP, conferencing, and networked AV.
• Experience reading AV drawings, wiring diagrams, construction docs, and schematics.
• CTS certification preferred; CTS-I preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of final phase of assigned projects and punch list items.
• Maintain ownership of projects until work aligns with scope and closeout.
• Communicate project status and needs to Director/Project stakeholder as required.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Lead Field Engineer as projects near completion.
• Test basic functionality of installed equipment before release.
• Verify drawings are current and redlines completed.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform final commissioning.
• Manage RMA requests and return defective or replacement equipment.
• Ensure all project requirements are met before closeout.
