Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an AV Design Engineer 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems unit.

You will design, integrate, operate, and maintain advanced AV systems for federal, local, and commercial clients, delivering secure, reliable solutions across complex environments. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering with relevant experience, have AutoCAD proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years' experience, or Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience with data center and virtual infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with cost estimates and work breakdown structures for complex projects.
• Experience cross-training/coaching junior colleagues.
• Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and software framework for large resilient AV systems.
• Create drawing packages and BOMs in CAD.
• Design and test videoconferencing and integrated AV technologies.
• Develop test plans for AV control systems (AMX/Crestron/Extron).
• Conduct on-site user and administrative training for installed AV systems.
