Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an AV Design Engineer 3 within the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will design, test, and integrate large-scale audio/visual solutions for federal, local, and commercial clients, delivering complete system designs and cost estimates.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in CS/EE with 3–5+ years’ relevant experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to travel up to 20%. A TS DoD clearance is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/EE or related field with progressive experience.
• 5+ years (or 3+ years with a Master’s) in hardware/software solutions for data center/virtual infra.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret DoD clearance.
• Experience with IT/telecom/A/V/electrical equipment and related specs.
• Experience with cost estimates and work breakdown structures for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and software frameworks for large resilient systems; create CAD drawings and BOMs.
• Test and design videoconferencing and AV technologies; integreate AV systems.
• Design AV systems with Crestron, AMX, Extron control systems.
• Conduct site surveys; provide sales engineering support and project costing.
• Develop and test AV control system acceptance tests; provide on-site training.
