Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an AV Field Engineer 3 within the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will design, install, and program complex videoconferencing and integrated A/V technologies for federal, local, and commercial customers, delivering high‑performing, resilient solutions. The role requires 5+ years in engineering, active security requirements, Crestron/AMX/Extron expertise, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain Interim SECRET within 60 days.
• BS in Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years progressive experience.
• Experience with IT/telecommunications projects and AV systems.
• Strong knowledge of videoconferencing standards and blueprints reading.
• Proven ability to design, program, and install complex AV solutions.
• Familiarity with Crestron, AMX, Extron, and related hardware/software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design, installation, configuration, integration programming and testing of complex videoconferencing and AV technologies.
• Design, integration and configuration of audio/video systems with Crestron, AMX and Extron control systems.
• Conduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support and costing.
• Design, integrate and troubleshoot IP networks and telecommunications systems.
• Read plans to identify materials and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Develop AV control system programming for AMX, Crestron, Extron.
• Provide on-site user and administrative training for installed AV systems.
