Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an AV Design Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems team. You will design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services for federal, local and commercial customers, focusing on AV systems, IP networks and unified communications.

You will work with a team to create robust, scalable AV solutions, develop high-level architectural designs, and ensure projects meet stakeholder requirements while traveling up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in A/V design or related engineering role.
• Demonstrated experience with hardware and software solutions for data center and virtual infrastructure.
• Experience with cost estimates and work breakdown structures for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and test complex AV systems including videoconferencing and control systems.
• Create drawing packages and Bills of Materials in CAD.
• Develop test plans for AV control systems (AMX, Crestron, Extron).
• Provide on-site user training and engineering support for installed AV systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet security and performance requirements.
