Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an AV Design Specialist 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will design, engineer, integrate and test complex audio/visual solutions for federal, local and commercial clients, including videoconferencing and control systems.

You will conduct site surveys, develop scopes and provide cost estimates while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines and quality goals. A Top Secret DoD clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Clearance/Citizen required for government access; Top Secret DoD clearance possible.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or Master's with 3+ years in hardware/software for data center/virtual infra
• Experience developing cost estimates and work breakdown structures for complex projects.
• Experience cross-training/coaching junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer and test A/V systems including videoconferencing, control systems, displays, video walls and matrix systems.
• Provide sales engineering support with customer site surveys and detailed requirements.
• Develop test plans for AV control systems (AMX, Crestron, Extron) and conduct on-site user training.
• Design and test network/telecom systems including IP networks.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to select materials and equipment.
