Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an AV Design Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit.

You will design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometrics, video surveillance, and AV systems for federal, local, and commercial clients. Responsibilities span design decisions across multiple programs, development of test plans for AV control systems, and on-site user training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in CS/EE or related field with progressive design experience.
• Experience designing hardware/software for data centers or virtual infrastructure.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to travel up to 20%, and obtain Top Secret DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware/software framework for large AV systems and create drawings/BOMs in CAD.
• Design and test videoconferencing and AV technologies and control systems.
• Perform on-site surveys and provide sales engineering support and cost estimates.
